Free users: No personal information is required. All calculations are performed in your browser. We do not store, transmit, or log your calculator inputs.

Pro subscribers: We collect your email address when you subscribe via Stripe. Payment information (credit card details) is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.

Saved scenarios: If you use the save scenario feature (Pro), your calculation inputs are stored in our database associated with your account.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Account management: Email is used to identify your account and send essential service notifications (e.g., trial ending, payment receipts).
• Feature delivery: Saved scenarios are stored so you can access them across sessions.
• Support: If you contact us, we use your message to respond to your inquiry.
• Service improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be used to improve the calculator.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

3. Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, access, or store your credit card number, CVV, or other payment credentials. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal browser storage:

• Essential cookies: Required for the Service to function (e.g., maintaining session state).
• Local storage: Free users' calculator inputs may be saved locally in the browser for convenience. This data never leaves your device.

We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies that follow you across other websites.

5. Data Retention

• Free user data: Not retained (calculations are browser-only).
• Pro account data: Retained while your subscription is active and for 30 days after cancellation.
• Saved scenarios: Deleted within 30 days of subscription cancellation.
• Webhook event logs: Retained for 90 days for billing reconciliation, then automatically purged.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection: Object to processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent: Unsubscribe at any time.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure password handling via Stripe, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us for immediate deletion.

9. International Users

The Service is hosted in the United Kingdom. If you access it from outside the UK, your data may be transferred to and processed in the UK. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
